Non-screen related activities to do at home – ideas/inspiration
- Building – with lego, with cards, with bricks, with empty cereal boxes
- Write a letter – to a friend, to a hero, to a cartoon character
- Design a postcard/brochure for a place you hope to visit one day
- Start a nature diary – What’s the weather like? What birds/insects/animals did you see today?
- Create a new invention. Can you make a gadget to help others? Draw it. Label it. Write about it.
- Junk art
- Make a reading den – find somewhere cosy, bring a cushion, a blanket and your favourite books
- Make a sock puppet – ask the owner of the sock first!!!
- Design and make your own board game, then play it with your family
- Do random acts of kindness for people in your house
- Design and make an obstacle course in your house/garden
- Make up a dance to your favourite song
- Design a poster for your favourite movie
- Write a story/book/comic/newspaper
